The car that you dreamed of owning more than any other? The one that would have made that cheerleader you always wanted to date come after you? That&nbsp;<em>&#8216;my life would change if I were driving that car&#8217;<\/em> car?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Well, mine was a 1969-70 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 396, metalflake blue paint with white pin striping, black interior, 4 on the floor Hurst shifter, and chrome reverse mags with white lettered tires. Classic muscle car. Looks so sleek that it would still be right at home in todays car market.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>I went to the&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.morrobaycarshow.org\/\">Crusin&#8217; Morro Bay<\/a>&nbsp;classic car show on Saturday afternoon, with 545 vehicles this year. Big time nostalgia reined. So many memories kicked up. Strong feels. Why do old cars, and old music, do that so hard for us? <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Wait, OMG what is this&#8230; ??<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/mcallahan.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/www_ss396_3240.jpg\" rel=\"lightbox[442]\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-448\" src=\"http:\/\/mcallahan.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/www_ss396_3240-300x203.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"203\" srcset=\"https:\/\/mcallahan.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/www_ss396_3240-300x203.jpg 300w, https:\/\/mcallahan.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/www_ss396_3240-768x519.jpg 768w, https:\/\/mcallahan.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/www_ss396_3240-444x300.jpg 444w, https:\/\/mcallahan.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/www_ss396_3240.jpg 775w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>So maybe it is 45 years late, but still so very tempting to drive off in THAT car.
