Here on the Central Coast, the breakwater protecting the entrance to Morro Bay was an excellent place to watch the ocean swells landing hard.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-video\"><video height=\"1080\" style=\"aspect-ratio: 1920 \/ 1080;\" width=\"1920\" controls src=\"https:\/\/mcallahan.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/BreakwaterSlowWave1.mp4\"><\/video><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>You feel a rumbling sound that surrounds you. When the wave hits you can feel the ground shake. The foghorn blowing in the background really completes the maritime touch<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The swells were running 17-19 feet at the breakwater.
